I am directed by Mr. Secretary Ede to say, for the information of Mr. Secretary Creech Jones, that his attention has been drawn to a fire which occurred on September 22nd last a Hong Kong, in which a considerable quantity of nitro-cellulose film was involved and many casualties occurred.

In view of the Home Office

concern with the storage of celluloid and cinematograph film in this country, Mr. Ede would be grateful if a copy of the report of the Government Commission which is under- stood to have inquired into the circumstances of this fire might be obtained for Home Office use.
